The Hope Center’s parking lot, located off Chestnut by the basketball courts, has long been a convenient option for staff, especially during the renovation of The Gathering. However, the path from the lot to the office has often been muddy and rocky, particularly after rain.
This summer, Straub Construction, the company overseeing the renovation, assigned a special project to their interns. Joe Riedel from Straub explained, “We wanted to give the interns a meaningful project that would benefit those who are always prioritizing others in the community.” Noticing the staff’s challenges with the muddy walkway, the interns took on the task of paving a new path.
Thanks to their hard work, the Hope Center now enjoys a smooth, dry walkway connecting the parking lot to the office. We are incredibly grateful for this thoughtful gesture and the enhanced convenience it brings to our daily routines.
